Sackville Chebucto Athletics Club is a small volunteer run athletics club that has been operating since 1976. We are a registered not-for-profit society, and one of 14 member clubs within Athletics Nova Scotia Track and Field. For nine months of the year, we operate our programs at MET Field (an HRM-owned outdoor track facility that our club was instrumental in developing in 1985 with a contribution of $30,000). In winter months, we move to nearby indoor facilities including the Sackville Sports Stadium and/or the Canada Games Complex in Clayton Park.

Depending on the time of year, Sackville Chebucto Athletics Club has between 30 and 50 athletes training in track and field (run, jump, throw) and cross country. Our members largely live in the areas of Lower Sackville, Beaverbank, Fall River, and East Hants. Participants are typically ages 12 years to early 20s, and train three times weekly. More than 2000 youth have been involved with the club since its beginning. Many of these athletes have distinguished themselves at provincial, national and international championships, and on Canada Games teams.
